My accomplishments so far..

Lately I haven't had much time to write about anything. I've been busy adapting to being 3. People are expecting much more from me.

I can now sing my ABCs properly. Count to 10 .. skip a few numbers and end up at 20. Say many random Malay words. Go underwater and blow bubbles (the water doesn't go up my nose much anymore).

Apart from that, I've had other things going on.
A few weeks back, I watched a movie at the cinema for the FIRST TIME! I went with mummy, papa, popo and Kung Kung. I think it was popo's THIRD TIME ever to watch a movie at the cinema. Guess what I watched?? More about that experience next time.

I also had a quick look at a ballet class. Popo is thinking about enrolling me. I couldn't help but point my toes as I watched the little girl.

Oh ya! My next BIG experience will be a visit to the dentist! Mummy promised she'd bring me soon. I saw a boy sitting on the dentist chair the other day. He kept wriggling in it. It looked fine. I can't wait to go cos I want to spit in the small sink by the chair.

On behalf of Caleb, I'd say we'll be seeing a bit more of him in a suit pretty soon cos Aunty Jenny will be arriving from the States today or tomorrow!

Dynamic Duo

Can't help but pose in front of the camera.
Caleb is slowly finding his own style.

Do we look the same?

BIG NEWS!
I've finally gotten over my fear of those mobile stuffed animals.
(Caleb was never afraid of it. He's so brave!)
I actually rode on one the other day.
(Mummy and Papa think it's probably cos I'm already 3 years old.)

Not camera shy (Part 2)

This was taken during Chinese New Year.
Mummy just pointed the camera at me and automatically I struck a pose.

Here I compete with the beautiful and colourful background.
Kung Kung's responsible for this pretty shot.

Me as the Bohemian chick.
I play around with the 'Opps.. did i do that?' look.

Well folks, that's all for now. Enough about the poser-me.
I think it's pretty obvious I'm not camera shy.

Not camera shy (Part 1)

I've been given so many labels - princess, girly girl, dancer, chatterbox.
For today, I shall celebrate the 'poser' in me.
So let me take you through memory lane and before your very eyes, witness the many faces of Chloe.

One of my favourite shots from my younger days. Actually, the FIRST shot of me with a smile. That's Big Bird. Clearly, we're sharing an inside joke.
(Mummy took this pictur
e)

Acessorize, accessorize...
Check out the side pose. Here I begin to experiment.

Which side looks best?

By this picture, I have experimented with a range of different poses.
Here's one where I DON'T look at the camera.

My range of poses would be incomplete without one in a bikini and water.
Here I attempt that contemplative look.
(Should I venture further into the water? Is it safe?)

To show my versatility, I end off with one of me wearing groovy glasses.
Well, that ends Part 1.

New Friends

I made a new friend at my last birthday party. His name is Patrick but I just call him Pat. (He's the one standing up.)

He's about 2 weeks younger than me.

Can you find me?

Look at Pat's birthday cake! His mummy made it - it's chocolate cake with colourful M&Ms. Looks just like a rainbow!

Here I am so excited to finally play at the Jungle Gym. But it was quite scary with all the other kids shooting balls at one another. So I just stayed by the entrance.

I finally found the place for me. Lots and lots of coloured balls! Uncle Del took this shot of me.

This is my other friend, Emily. We had a lot of fun running around in the maze and trying to find our way out.

I hope Mummy will bring me there again soon.

How do I look??

My Uncle Del is getting married in December.
Che-che Chloe will be the flowergirl.
Me... they haven't figured out what to do with me yet.
BUT, Uncle Del did request for me to wear a suit!
So, of course, my personal stylist Popo (from now on, pronounced as Poo-poo for that French ring to it) rushed off to begin her search for a suit for me.

Here's one. Mummy & papa liked it a lot.
However, Mummy's playing around with the idea of a white suit instead. We'll see what Poo-poo has to say about that.

More on Fashion

Right! This is more like it.
A cool 'My Mum Rocks' T-shirt (thanks to Uncle Win & Aunty G), a pair of jeans and NO fairy wings!

To complete the whole smart 'Rockstar' ensemble, I accessorized the look with 2 chopsticks - doubling up as .. my drumsticks, of course.
(Uncle Joel, am i holding it right??)

BUT FINALLY... to redeem myself and to regain honour once again,
I hereby reveal my secret identity as
SPIDEY-BOY!

(Yes, look at the chest. Wearing this costume makes me feel indestructible!!
Here you can see me holding my breath)

Well, I can't take all the credit.
Every hero needs a personal stylist.
Someone who knows how many times my sleeves need to be folded.
Someone who knows how high to pull up my pants without injuring the family jewels.
Someone who's willing to hold me up during photo shoots.
Who else, but my Popo!
(Oh ya, not to mention Uncle Del and Aunty G who bought me this fantastic outfit-THANKS!)

Fashion Victim!

Yes, the correct word here is 'victim'!
With absolutely no co-operation from me and any physical ability to resist, I was dressed like THIS..

AND not only am I wearing purple fairy wings, I am also seen playing with a pink cooking set!
I am highly suspicious about this picture.
I have a feeling that this will be used as blackmail material in the future.

(Note to future self: Delete this photo from all hard drives!)

Downtime with Papa

At the end of a busy day, Papa still finds time to be with us.
Sometimes, we go on car rides. Other times, we go window shopping.
But every now and then, Papa reads me a book...

and puts me to sleep...

We love you so much Papa!

A Message for Uncle Joel

Just as we're warming up to you, you decide to move on to a country so far away.
We guess you've had enough of this place.
Too bad we didn't get to learn any drumming skills from you.
Maybe when you come back for the holidays, you'll have time to teach us a bit.
Take care of yourself, Uncle Joel. We will miss you.
Who knows what we'll be up to the next time you see us.

Lots of love,
Chloe and Caleb xoxo

It wasn't all fun in the sun.

Yes, here's my side of the story.
Unlike my Che-Che, I was not as excited about being at the beach. Particularly on the sand. That's me with Aunty Nette.

Here I am testing the waters. I quite like it.
This is the unpleasant experience my Che-che was talking about.
I was enjoying the water a lot until mummy made me wear this life vest.
It was way too big and too heavy. I couldn't bend and kept tilting to the side.
I even fell into the water cos I couldn't stand straight.
I'm not sure why but my mummy thought it was really funny and kept laughing. Not quite the reaction I expected. A bit of sympathy would be nice.
Needless to say, my time in the water was cut short after that.

More Pictures Of The Beach.

Mummy's favourite picture of me at the beach. You can almost feel the scorching heat from the sun. Lucky me, mummy rubbed lots of sunblock on my body.
Me with my handsome papa!
He was really busy that day but he always came to check up on us.

Here's me with Uncle Delwin. He's here for a short visit.
He's not as lucky as me. After that day at the beach, he was as red as umm.. my elmo!
This is when we're just about to leave the beach.
It was a sad goodbye. It also didn't help that it was time for my afternoon nap as well.

1st Beach Experience EVER!

Last Sunday afternoon, Mummy, Papa, Uncle Delwin, Caleb and me, went to the beach at Empire!

Caleb and I have never been to the beach. I was super excited.

That's me with my Aunty Nette. And my "gardening tools."

I like the feeling of sand under my feet but not Caleb. He finds it icky.

Yup. I don't like the sand. I like it better when my mummy carries me.

That's me and mummy.

It was a really HOT day!

But we both loved the water! However, Caleb had an unpleasant experience later on. I'll leave it to him to blog about it.

Overall, we hope to go back there again soon!

G.I.A. (Gifts In Action)

While my mummy is yet to be convinced about letting me play with all my presents, here are some of those that have gotten the thumbs-up.

Gift #1: Barbie doll bedroom set
Here are my Uncles Cy & Ches. They were really helpful in setting up my bedroom set. My Uncle Ches was particularly good in tying the ribbons round the bedroom post. He even took time to find out which sticker belonged where. Personally, I suspect he's had prior experience. (Though he denies it.)

Gift #2: Gardening Tools
This is the ONLY present I share with Caleb. He's mostly interested in the rake, spade and wheel barrow. I enjoy the watering can.

Gift #3: Kindermusik Flute

I like the sounds my flute makes. It's a must-have in my handbag. I find it extremely useful for entertaining family and strangers in crowded restaurants, especially when things get a bit too quiet.

Gift #4: Paint Set
Got some great Crayola paint bottles. I used them to paint my feet, my hands and several rocks!

Well that's a wrap! No more posts about my presents. One more year to go!
